How to fix xxx.app is damaged 1

Some friends have found that after installing software on Apple computers, when opening the software, the following message appears: "XXX.app is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." or "It is damaged and cannot be opened. Eject the disk image." How can this be solved?

Part I

If you have opened any source, you can go directly to the second part of the operation below!

  2. Enter the following command: (copy and paste it), as shown below:

    sudo spctl --master-disable

  3. Press Enter! Enter the computer power-on password (the password will not be displayed during the input process, ignore it and continue to enter), and then press Enter, as shown below:

  4. Enter the computer power-on password and press Enter(If it prompts: Sorry, try again. Please re-enter;)

  5. The operation here is to open System Preferences - Privacy and Security, and then click [Any Source], as shown below:

  6. Open any source and then see the following Part 2 tutorial operation;

Part 2

If you have already opened any source and encounter corruption in the future, just follow the steps below to resolve it!

  1. Open the terminal again and enter the following code:

    Copy and paste it in, enter a space after cr

    xattr -cr 
    

    **Enter a space after cr! Do not press Enter! Do not press Enter! Do not press Enter! **

  2. From the application or desktop, drag the damaged software into the terminal (after xattr -cr), and press Enter! As shown below:

    attention

    1. The software must have been installed in the application, or dragged to the desktop first;
    2. Enter a space after cr;
    3. Then you can drag it into the terminal! Press Enter! You cannot drag it directly from the downloaded dmg file! This will not work!
    4. For Mac Ventura 13 and above systems, you need to go to System Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Full Disk Access Permission to allow the terminal! Then you can operate, otherwise you will encounter Operation not permitted!

  3. After dragging, press Enter! After pressing Enter, reopen the dragged software and it will open normally!
